We’re looking for someone to fill a Full Time Production Assistant position. We are a fast paced, customer oriented store. Applicants should be friendly, self-starting, and outgoing.
A popcorn production associate will be responsible for making our gourmet popcorn. The ideal candidate would be able to work in a timed, fast paced environment able to handle multiple aspects of a task at a time. They should have an attention to detail and be able to plan ahead. The environment is dictated by the mechanical processes of our machines and operators must be able to maintain quality while keeping up with the cycles of the machines.
Production (depending on the time of year) usually happens during the week but will not encompass their entire work week. When done or rotating through with other production associates, you will be expected to help with other tasks in the store, including helping serve customers in our retail space, packaging products, and cleaning/maintenance. To help ensure employees are able to get their requested hours, they will be expected to also work as a retail associate which includes weekend shifts.
All production associates are trained as a retail associate to gain an understanding of our processes and then moved into popcorn production.
Requirements: This position requires the ability to be moving frequently and lifting and dumping 15 lbs kettles every 3-4 minutes for hours at a time, moving 50 lbs pails of oil, and lifting and dumping 50 lbs bags of corn. You must also be able to keep up with the machine cycles and work quickly and independently.
This is a full time position (32-40 hours per week). This is a year-round (not seasonal) position. Production Associates will be expected to work weekday and weekend retail shifts. Scheduled shifts will vary based on the season as our store hours change.
