Lansing, Michigan, offers a unique blend of state history, hands-on science, and scenic views. We set out for a day of learning and exploring, and Lansing did not disappoint.
Touring the State Capitol
Our adventure started with a free guided tour of the Michigan State Capitol. The intricate dome, colorful rotunda, and rich political history gave us a whole new appreciation for Michigan's past and present.
Hands-On Fun at Impression 5
Next, we stopped at Impression 5 Science Center. Even as adults, the interactive exhibits brought out our curiosity and inner kid. From water play to bubble rooms, it was a blast.
Relaxing Along the River Trail
We grabbed lunch from a food truck and walked along the Lansing River Trail, watching kayakers glide past and snapping pictures of the city skyline and lush parks.
Cap Off the Day With Popcorn at Home
After a full day in the state's capital, nothing felt better than coming home to a fresh delivery of Popcorn Wagon Frankenmuth popcorn. We kicked back, relaxed, and dug into the crunchy, sweet caramel corn while reminiscing on a day well spent.
